Appleton,WI  215 regional, national, and international artists showed and sold work to an estimated 18,000 visitors at the 49th annual Art in the Park on Sunday, July 26. Art in the Park is held at Appleton's historic City Park and is organized by the Appleton Art Center. The event is the major fundraiser for Appleton Art Center.

The 2009 Art in the Park awards judge was Randi Hilleso, Textile Fiber Artist and Marketing & Communications Director at American National Bank. 

Sumnicht and Associates Best of Show: Pat Reiher (Fond du Lac, WI)

Best 2-D: Phil Sealy (Appleton, WI)

Best 3-D: Kyle Dallman (Oshkosh, WI)

Six honorable mention ribbons were also awarded: Lenny Nagler (Appleton, WI), Herb Johnson (Hartford, WI), Brenda Gingles(Stevens Point, WI), Simon Levin (Gresham, WI), Terilu Adler (Oshkosh, WI), Rob Weklar(Neenah, WI).
