Instructors for Children & Young Adults

Trisha Benbo is an artist and art educator who is currently teaching in the Neenah Public School System.  She has an undergraduate degree from UW-La Crosse and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University.  Trisha has been teaching at Appleton Art Center for several years.

Denise Crouse is a talented artist and musician.  As the parent of a young daughter, Denise is in tune with the needs and fascinations of young children.  And as a practicing artist with art degrees from Lawrence University and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Denise brings experience and knowledge of the fine arts to Appleton Art Center.

Charlotte Darling-Diehl has a B.A. from Lawrence University and a Masters of Art and Liberal Studies with an emphasis on sculpture from Wesleyan University.  Her sculpture is represented in private and public collections throughout the United States.

Cathy Peter has an Associate of Arts Degree in Commercial Art from Madison Area Technical College and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Wisconsin – Madison.  She has worked as an art instructor and as a freelance photographer.

Phil Sealy is an award-winning, master watercolorist whose art is in corporate and private collections throughout the United States.  Phil has been a practicing watercolorist and draftsman for over 50 years.

Jody Vanesky is an award-winning artist and well-known musician.  Jody has been the Education Director at Appleton Art Center for over ten years.  He is a graduate of Lawrence University and also studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
